[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hy won't you go away? Leave me alone, can't you see how much this hurts?!? The ghosts, the memories of our past come back to haunt us. Always there, always picking the wound. Reminding us of what once was, showing us what will never be again.
This one I remember all too well. What I like about this is that it's quite short but applies to so many moments. In a way a person could read this and be reminded of a relationship that's gone south, or perhaps a loved one that's passed on. You could apply it to an old job, though I'd be concerned about your priorities if it fell that way. I do find it interesting how at times I'm caught day dreaming of a past memory. I'll physically snap to shake the vision. It's like cobwebs that hold pictures of the past.
