Deuteronomy 15-17, Psalm 89:1-29, Acts 12
Who can indeed stand against the Lord!?! The Psalmist and the New Testament passages seem to repeat this to me over and over again. The House of David reigns forever and ever. When Christ shows up at a funeral he raises the dead! When Peter is set to be handed over to the Jews, an Angel breaks him out of prison! The Jews send their best persecutor to Demascus and he’s converted along the way! How awesome is it that nothing . . . not even a grave can hold the Will. It’s like nothing can stop Him . . . well, it’s not “like” it IS that nothing can stop Him!
